MBMA, together with the Tsingshan Group, formed a joint venture to develop Indonesia Konawe Industrial Park (IKIP), a future battery material focused industrial park, covering an area of approximately 3,500-hectares.

Industrial park
MBMA and Tsingshan Group will jointly operate IKIP, located within the SCM Mine concession area, with permitting approval underway.
IKIP will focus on hydrometallurgy processing of nickel using HPAL technology, with a strong emphasis on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices.
Tsingshan's experience in developing IMIP and PT Indonesia Weda Bay Industrial Park will be leveraged for the development of IKIP.
IKIP has obtained the Approval on the Relinquishment of Productive Forest Area Status into ± 3,854.37-hectares Non Forest Area on behalf of PT Indonesia Konawe Industrial Park.
